Oslo, Norway Progressive Death Metal

DISKORD is a Norwegian band whose unique take on both old school death metal in the vein of Autopsy and Demilich and the jarring dissonance reminiscent of Gorguts and Atheist has earned them a place in the heart of many a death metal connoisseur. While a further description of something so intangible as heavy metal music may be a futile endeavor, we’ll let a few quotes from the metal press set the scene:

“Old school razor-wire riffs […], wonderful, organic production aesthetics” - Terrorizer Magazine

"A marvelous ability to twist old-school tropes into exciting new shapes" - Stereogum

”A clusterfuck of Gorguts-meets-Atheist rhythms and aggression" - No Clean Singing.

DISKORD has extensive live experience from a cartload of shows both domestic and abroad, and provide a fierce and competent live show. Or, as a Norwegian reviewer recently put it:

"Without a doubt the best gig I have seen in a long long time. Is this the best band in Norway these days?" - Eternal Terror
